I am Graduate-Is there any Job!

Here in Pakistan and India, people are blaming the Government for not providing the Job Opportunities. For years, it is doubtless to mention the Employment Rate is lower.

Just for a moment, take a breath and think, Are there not Enough Jobs? The answer is YES! There are not enough Jobs!

Youth Percentage in Pakistan is 64% according to the Recent Census 2018. In India, it is 34.33% according to the Census 2010. Youth is studying and seeking for Jobs. Additionally, many elders are unemployed and seeking for Jobs as well. As a consequence, the Government is Liable to create Job for almost everyone in the country. Right?

Why there is No Concept to be Specialists? Students in Pakistan and India are being discouraged to invest money on Study due to the reason that there are not enough Jobs.

Why the concept of investing in education is to be a Perfect Servant?

After completing Graduation, holding a degree in hands, everyone starts preparing to get the Job. I am amazed that people who are Master in Business Administration can start the business with less capital, but are seeking jobs such as Accountants, Auditors and Assistants.

Every degree starting from Economics, MBBS, BDS, Psychology, Linguistics and so on is considered to be the entry card to get the “Job”. The story is not ended here, after the degree, students start preparing for the Government as well as for the Private Sectors. The major reason for the preparation is to get a Secured Job. It reflects the idea that “I do not wish to Work but Earn”.

Anyhow, even after getting the Higher Degrees, the Idea of getting a secured job is Illogical.

Taking, for instance, a person who is illiterate and has started the business of Food (Restuarant). The most literate people will study and get the degree to work as a servant in that particular restaurant as a Food Incharge, Receptionist, or Accountant. It’s Funny but True!

When I look around such acts, I asked myself, are these degrees not enough to start the business at a lower level? Even one can take a small step towards the business and can grow with the time then why getting a job is the priority of almost 90% of Graduates.

Here is the Answer, Our Parents and Teachers!

You would Agree that since from Childhood, our parents and teachers guide us and remind us every day to study well to get higher grades and get the best Job. Very cleverly, the word “Job” has been inserted to the minds of the students.

A Businessman also does the Job!

A Housewife also doing her job of taking care of the family

But, there is a difference!

let's suppose, Keeping telling the child every day to study hard to be the Best Servant. Very soon, the child will stop studying and Shout with the Statement that “I do not want to be a Servant”.

It is quite interesting to note here in Pakistan and India, where people who are hard-working businessmen (small-size or medium-size business)show no attitude. Whereas, people who are Servant somewhere find themselves more dignified no matter how they are being treated inside the organization.

Interestingly, I saw a coaster of Employees where it was written: “For VIP Employees”. In simpler words, it is narrated as “For VIP Servants” or “Aala Nokars”.

There has been an increasing trend after independence from England to get the job. It is due to the reason that students are not being taught to be a Businessman or specialist. Of course, a job is an option but not the only option. How about teaching where we teach our children to be a successful Archaeologist, Chemist, Physicist, Businessman and so on.

To the students, there is an option for those who could not work out in the self-recognition can go for the job as well. It would be the best way for the students where they know that they are studying to be best in their fields and if it did not work out they can go for the Job as well. Rather than all the students with different degrees applying for the same “Personal Assistant” Job.

In Summation, rather than begging for the Jobs or Service, We can study to start working in the field with a New Idea! Instead of asking for the Jobs, We can be the one to Create the Jobs.
